Precision rifles are designed for long range accuracy. Built to eliminate any variables, they insure the utmost in consistency, and deliver incredible results. Detail work of this type does not come without cost, but for the shooter who demands the ultimate performance from his weapon, there is no other choice.

These rifles do not require any special BATFE licensing. We can provide firearms from manufacturers such as Savage, Remington, Springfield, Accuracy International, Sako, Blaser, and many others. These rifles may be modified or custom built to meet the customer's specifications. Rifles may be designed in bolt action, or in semi-auto, either on the M14 or AR platforms. Options can include stock selection, action brand, barrel brand and length, trigger brand and weight, sights (see OPTICS AND SIGHTS), sight attachments, bipods, sling attachments, caliber, finish, flash suppressors, silencers (see SILENCERS), and more.

There is interesting controversy as to the superiority of bolt versus semi-auto action, and AR versus M14 platforms. We see advantages and disadvantages with each type, and will be glad to discuss the relative merits to assist the buyer in making his best selection based on his intended use.

A newer and exciting addition to this area are rifles built on mega-cartridges, with the .50 BMG the best known. While these arms have been available for many years, there has been a surge in interest in recent times. These arms deliver truly long range performance, with distances in the thousands of meters, and power that is just incredible in comparison to standard rifle cartridges. A .308 round, for example, delivers around 2,800 foot pounds of energy, where a .50 BMG delivers 13,000. These rifles are available in various calibers, from the .338 Lapua through the .416 and the big .50. Action formats vary from single shot rifles and repeating bolt actions and semi-autos, to upper receiver-only units that attach to AR lowers, and as such, are classified as parts, not firearms. We have considerable experience with these weapons and can help in the selection and acquisition of them. No special licensing is required at this time.
