This class is taught by Mike Sexton

• Purpose of Course- This is a custom course designed by Master rated shooter Mike Sexton to introduce new handgun owners, or those considering the acquisition of one, to the basics of use, care, safety and maintenance, and to assist with the decision of selection of handgun and ammunition. It varies from the NRA First Steps course in avoiding some of the required formalities of that course, and is more applied in nature. It is an excellent preparation for the SC Concealed Weapons course, or any other advanced handgun training.
• Age Requirements- 18, with adult guardian.
• Prerequisites- None.
• Time- 3 hours
• Equipment Needed- Safe handgun with 50 rounds of ammunition; ear and eye protection, drivers license. Ear and eye protection may be rented at the range. Firearms can be provided by the range free of charge.
• Activities Involved- Classroom session and short range session.
• Maximum enrollment- 10.
• Other Information- Graduates will receive a free range session.
• Cost- $60

EQUIPMENT FOR ALL CLASSES- All equipment needed can be provided by the range at no charge, except ammunition. Ammunition may be purchased at the range.
