Allen Arms Training NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home |
- Purpose of Course- This course is designed to introduce the participant to the basic concepts of defending themselves and their family in their home. Topics of concern will include firearms and ammunition selection and use; legal aspects and ramifications; plans, strategies, and necessary mind set; safety and storage; shooting skills and positions; the use of cover and concealment; and use of ancillary equipment such as lights and cell phones.
- Age Requirements- 21, or 18 with adult guardian.
- Prerequisites- South Carolina Concealed Weapons course, NRA First Steps Pistol, or NRA Basic Pistol, or other approved training such as military.
- Time- Eight hours.
- Equipment Needed- Safe handgun, hip holster, 150 rounds of ammunition, safety glasses and hearing protection, valid drivers license, all of which (except license), may be purchased at the range. Firearms can be provided by the range free of charge.
- Activities Involved- classroom activity; extensive range shooting.
- Maximum enrollment- 12
- Other Information- Graduates will receive 2 free range sessions.
- Cost- $120
EQUIPMENT FOR ALL CLASSES- All equipment needed can be provided by the range at no charge, except ammunition. Ammunition may be purchased at the range.
