Allen Arms Training NRA Home Firearms Safety

  • Purpose of Course- to teach the skills and attitudes required to safely maintain and store firearms in the home, with special emphasis on children. While not a shooting course, participants will handle the various types of firearms , learn the proper nomenclature, loading and unloading techniques, ammunition specifics, safe handling, cleaning, and storage. Material will be provided to attendees to take with them to continue their training at home. Anyone, especially those with children or first time gun owners, should consider this course.
  • Age Requirements- none, but attendees under 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
  • Prerequisites- none.
  • Time- Four hours.
  • Equipment Needed- None
  • Activities Involved- Classroom only, some handling of firearms and training aids.
  • Maximum enrollment- 15
  • Other Information- Graduates will receive a free range session , $10 value.
  • Cost- $60.00 for adults. No charge for children 8-16.

 



EQUIPMENT FOR ALL CLASSES- All equipment needed can be provided by the range at no charge, except ammunition. Ammunition may be purchased at the range.
