• Purpose of Course- This course was designed by Allen Arms instructor David Pantaloni and owner Frank Allen. Its intent is to familiarize shotgun owners, and those considering the purchase of one, to the basic defensive use of a shotgun. Instruction in the use, care, storage and selection of a shotgun will be given. Range drills will require the student to load and shoot the shotgun in a variety of ways that would be involved in their effective use for self defense.
• Age Requirements- 21 years old, 18 to 21 with adult guardian.
• Prerequisites- None
• Time- 3 hours.
• Equipment Needed- Safe shotgun, pump action shotguns preferred. We will provide one if if needed. No break open shotguns. Ear and eye protection are required on the range, and will be provided if the student does not have them. You will need 100 rounds of birdshot (no. 7 or smaller), 10 rounds of buckshot (any size), and 5 slugs. You may bring your own ammunition or purchase it at the range. No ammunition allowed in the classroom.
• Activities Involved- Classroom training and range firing.
• Maximum enrollment- 5 students
• Other Information- All training will be student friendly, but the use of shotguns is by nature rigorous. The rate of activity will depend largely on the progress and capabilities of the shooters. Some movement, and the handling of the guns themselves, will be involved, and can be moderately fatiguing. It will be exciting and enjoyable. This course is taught only by David Pantaloni. • Cost- $75.00.

EQUIPMENT FOR ALL CLASSES- All equipment needed can be provided by the range at no charge, except ammunition. Ammunition may be purchased at the range.
